Jordan and Ethan met during their freshman year of high school and quickly became close friends. Their bond grew stronger over time. Junior year they went on a trip to Vail with their friends. It was here that they realized they wanted more than just friendship. A few weeks later, Ethan officially asked Jordan to be his girlfriend.

They spent the rest of high school together—attending dances (they even had an at-home prom), going on dates, and making countless memories. They graduated together in 2020, and although they were attending different colleges, they decided to make their relationship work long-distance for the next four years.

During freshman year apart, they both braved the Midwest train system and reunited for the first time in Chicago. It felt like a first date all over again, even after a year and a half of being together.

Ethan traveled to see Jordan for his first Notre Dame football game and came to many more throughout the years, while Jordan made many trips to Bloomington, IL to cheer Ethan on in his lacrosse games.

For the next four years, they began a rhythm of visits, FaceTime calls (for Ethan to surprise Jordan with new haircuts), and making the most of every moment they could share. Their long-distance relationship was filled with love, laughter, and shared adventures.

During their winter and summer breaks they spent as much time as possible together—camping, hiking, visiting with each other’s families, and traveling up to Vail.

In 2024, they both graduated from college. They were able to celebrate graduation, senior dances, and senior lacrosse games together and say goodbye to friends that became family.

The distance was finally behind them, and to celebrate, they traveled to Durango, Greece, and England with their families. It was the perfect way to mark the end of this chapter and the beginning of the next.

Later that fall, they returned to one of their favorite places—Vail. Jordan thought they were just there to enjoy the beautiful fall foliage, but Ethan had other plans. Surrounded by stunning mountain views, he proposed, and Jordan immediately said "YES!" It was the perfect moment in the place where their love story began.

They can't wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of their family, friends, and loved ones so soon!
